The Great Kaw Adventure Race is an orienteering based, cognitive, and physical challenge event. Challenges could be trivia about Eudora's German and Indian heritage, complex equations, gunny sack races, or a simple puzzle. Participants will be required to navigate to waypoints and challenges to retrieve important artifacts. To acquire these artifacts, an action will have to be performed. Participants will be limited to right of way and public properties unless otherwise stated. If we catch you running through lawns (and our residents will) you will be penalized.

The Kansas Senior Games are the Sunflower state's own multi-sport competition for ages 50+. The Kansas Senior Games takes place over two weekends each September in Topeka. The 2016 Kansas Senior Games hosted a total of 817 participants who competed in 17 sports. Athletes traveled to the capital city from 21 different states and more than 220 communities. The Sunflower State Games is proud to host this event designed to encourage active and healthy lifestyles for ages 50+.

The 2017 Sunflower State Games will take place July 14-30 in Topeka at approximately 35 different venues. The 2017 games will feature over 45 different sports for all ages and skill levels. This new festival will coincide with the Voices of the Wind People Pageant on September 16 and 17. Family friendly entertainment, food, and music will be available for your enjoyment in the Neosho Riverwalk Park from 12-6pm that day.

The Tall Corn Festival is a celebration of the harvest and summer. Come out and enjoy the spirit of small towns, a parade down Main Street, pancake breakfast, a 5K run and fun walk, slo-pitch tournament, sand volleyball tournament, meal trucks and music in the park. Don't forget to enter the corn eating contest and check out the tallest corn!
