What will we do:
Introduction to topographic maps and how to read them
Introduction to the compass and how to use it with the map
Introduction to an orienteering map and the sport of orienteering
Short practice orienteering course
What should I bring?
Bring a compass, if you have one (we have some you can borrow). We will be outside the whole time, so come dressed for the weather. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a little muddy. A change of shoes and socks (for after) is suggested if the weather is wet. A water bottle is nice to have.
