About
Jefferson County Emergency Management is actively working with the Perry State Park - Wildlife, Parks and Tourism office, and the Corps of Engineers at Perry Lake to develop Emergency Response Plans for the several miles of Hiking, Biking and Horse trails around Perry Lake.
The Emergency Response Plans (ERP) will be to help establish Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG) for emergency responders in the event of emergency situations that arise on any of the trails.
Staging Areas, Command Posts, helicopter landing sites and emergency access locations will be pre-determined so that if a trail user requires emergency assistance, that assistance will be deployed quickly and efficiently.
