Skyline Summit Trail North

The trail begins near the Skyline Park gate with the first 1/2 mile under a tree canopy, then winds through the prairie to the North and South summits and returns to the trailhead. Prairie sections reveal a variety of native plants including milkweed and blue stem grass. From the north summit above the water tower, the view reveals most of the city including the State Capital. From the south summit, the runnways at Forbes field are prominent. Wildlife include wild turkey, white tail deer, racoons and coyotes.
